“So What Does That Include, Again?”

Today everyone has their hands on the back pockets to try and hold their money in it; and yet one of the most important things they can spend it on gets cut up or cut out completely. That thing is incentive travel. In bad economic times a company’s image often rests on frugality, and these extras are often viewed as unnecessary extravagances. However, if a planner does a good job, a good all-inclusive incentive trip is an investment in the future.

It used to be that the charge for a plane ticket included bags, meals, and more. Nowadays passengers pass around email jokes about airlines installing coin slots next to the oxygen bags, one quarter buying 15 minutes of oxygen (“and flight attendants do not carry change, we apologize for any inconvenience”). It makes an all-inclusive travel plan worth its weight in gold.

Before you think that all-inclusive vacations are things for Club Med trust fund babies, think again. Even in the United States there are resorts that offer everything in one, including meals and activities. The Blackberry Farm in Tennessee is one such resort, offering not just accommodations and meals, but also activities like equestrian sports, fishing, and tennis.

If you are looking for a tropical setting, the Caribbean is a great place to start your search for the perfect inclusive travel package. Many of the packages include waterskiing, sport fishing, golf, and many other popular activities. Other countries are also following suit, and it’s always worth a quick check with official tourism offices.

Keep in mind that it’s not always about the price. It’s often just about the information. If you are booking an expensive incentive trip, it’s still nice to know exactly what the bill will be. The extras add up, so all-inclusive packages are often the perfect choice for incentive travel.
