Social Networking – Part 2
Part 1 of this article dealt mentioned well-known social networking sites such as Facebook and LinkIn, as well as two lesser-known sites, Presdo and Eventbrite. Here are a few more sites that may become valuable tools in your social networking toolbox:
- WhichDateWorks (www.whichdateworks.com) is free and the site does not require users to register. The site is easy to use and self-explanatory. Simply fill out the Name Your Plans, Details, and select the calendar dates that work for you. This is sent to your email list of guests. As they respond, the events are marked on your calendar and simply by running a cursor over the date, you know who can attend.
- PurpleTrail (http://purpletrail.com/pt2/cons/mkt/home) offers both free and member options and you can connect it with your Facebook login. It offers snazzy invitations to personal and business events. Easy to navigate and use.
- PhoneVite (www.phonevite.com) is for die-hard cell phone users. In 3 steps you can send phone reminders, wake up calls, a cheery message, or last minutes cancellations to everyone on your list. It’s free to use with a more comprehensive service pay option available. It could be just the thing to keep everyone at an event informed of a change in scheduling or dinner plans after the event.
Keep these social networking tools in mind when planning your next event and use the one that will serve you best.
