The Benefits of Employee Motivational Travel
Have you ever wondered why or if employee motivational travel is more beneficial than cash reward? Is there more to motivational travel than merely rewarding employee(s) for a job well done?
Understanding the things that motivate your employees is an important part of doing business. It is necessary to understand exactly what motivates each employee as an individual. If the reward were a trip, where would your employees like to travel? Would she like to be pampered with a spa treatment, go on a cruise to exotic ports of call, or is she more interested in outdoor activities like hiking or golf? Tailoring the rewards you offer is more likely to encourage employees to do their best to earn the trip.
Motivational travel is a factor in retaining valued staff members. It’s more economical to keep skilled people working for you than it is to train new staff on a regular basis. Saying thank you when a job is well done is something else that shouldn’t be overlooked. Those two words can spur staff on toward a common goal, especially during hard times.
Team efforts that earn a trip for everyone involved encourage the weaker members to work toward the competency level of the stronger employees. Competitions can motivate but they can also cause staff to work against each other. Cooperative efforts often get better results and produce employees that are more loyal as well.
An all inclusive cruise meeting is one great way to motivate and thank employees.
