Three Glowing Gems in the Heart of the Midwest
Most people who travel or plan events don’t think of the Midwest as a great location. However, three cities in the heart of Colorado shine with excellent things to see, do, eat and enjoy.
Denver
With a history of Wild West flavor and gold-laced boomtown dreams, Denver has become a hot spot that features many things that are anything but old and stodgy. The 16th Street Mall, Coors Field, many five-star hotels, events areas and restaurants are the modern heartbeat of a city that has shaken off its cowboy past.
Boulder
Just 45-minutes from Denver International Airport, Boulder sits at the base of the mighty Flatirons. This robust city features adventures for everyone, from mountain biking to white-water rafting. Boulder also features some excellent event venues and restaurants such as Carelli’s of Boulder and Boulder Cork. If you’re interested in a bit of pedestrian-friendly boutique shopping, try the 29th Street Mall or the Pearl Street Mall.
Colorado Springs
If you’re looking for a city that embraces both its past and present, Colorado Springs is the perfect vacation or event spot. With more than 300 days of sunshine, this city will hook your family or event guests. Event planners will enjoy the Broadmoor, which houses 185,000 square feet of meeting space and vacationers will enjoy venues such as the U.S. Olympic Training Center and popular restaurants like the Sonterra Grill.
