Viva Mexico!
Employee morale is an important element in how well businesses operate and prosper. Despite the recent tide of disapproval, incentive travel is an important reward for hard workers who have pushed on under the onus of the current recession. Employees need time off to relax, rejuvenate, and revel in the knowledge that their hard work has been noted and is appreciated.
Mexico, known for her generous and kind citizens, is a fabulous country that is sure to inspire even the most burned out employee. Travel to Mexico is unlikely to be viewed as ostentatious or extravagant by the public; yet, as an incentive Mexico has as much to offer as Europe.
The Pacific Coast and Yucatan Peninsula are famous for beautiful beaches, surfing, fishing, and scuba diving. Mexico City offers a great deal for the more sophisticated traveler who is interested in fine dining and the night- life. Appreciation of Mexican has grown tremendously in the past ten years. Each region has its own dishes made with local ingredients and a combination of spices that identify its origins.
Sometimes it’s nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of a crowd, in which case the colonial cities of Mexico are a perfect travel incentive. Seeped in the history of the silver mines, the colonial cities were built in the 1500s. Aguascalientes (hot springs), Guadalajara, San Miguel de Allende, and Zacatecas are some of the best-known colonial cities. Accommodations are small. beautifully intimate, and give visitors a feel for the “real” Mexico.
The next time you have an opportunity to provide incentive travel, think about our neighbor to the south. Viva Mexico!
