Your Education in Inclusive Travel
It’s important to break the news to all of you who want to specialize in inclusive incentive travel–or already do–but you should be doing more research for your profession. That doesn’t mean you should be on the Internet all day looking for even better inclusive package deals. I means that you should be going on them yourself once in a while.
One big reason for that is so you know your product better. Every salesperson should understand the product he or she is selling so that everyone gets what they want in the end. However, you should also be able to speak intelligently about the packages, and sometimes that means personal experience.
Although you probably get a good amount of feedback from your other clients on some of the packages, it would always be a great selling point for you to say to a prospect, “I just got back from that cruise, and I can tell you it was one of the best experiences I have ever had on the high seas. You don’t want to miss it.” You wouldn’t sell something you didn’t think would gain you a good reputation, so this may mean a lot to someone who is undecided.
The upside of research like this is obvious: aside from the experience, it gets you away for a bit as well. And who couldn’t use a vacation?
